The School of Advanced Manufacturing prepares engineers for the future of Design and Fabrication, Automation and Industry 4.0. SAM is embedded in one of the country’s most active manufacturing corridors, home to over 200 companies including Daikin, Amber, Epack, Isuzu, THK, a growing cluster of electronics, automotive and precision manufacturing firms.

SAM offers the B.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering, a four-year, 160-credit program delivered through the SIU Work-Study Dual Model in partnership with industry. The curriculum follows the APSCHE R-23 framework.
