The SIU Work-Study Dual Model combines classroom education with paid internship at industry partner locations. Students earn a monthly stipend from Year 1 and graduate with a UGC-recognised degree and 2+ years of professional work experience.
For a typical 4 year program, the student spends about 5 quarters at SIU Campus and about 11 quarters at Industry Partner Location. For a 3 year program, this changes to 4 quarters at SIU Campus and about 8 quarters at Industry Partner Location.
The SIU Work-Study Dual Model is an intense 46 weeks (8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/weeks) per year program that combines work and study as compared to a conventional 30 weeks/year academic program elsewhere.
