Station-S The Startup Studio
Station-S is the incubator and innovation center on the SIU campus. Launched in 2025, even before SIU admitted its first batch of students, Station-S reflects the university’s belief that entrepreneurship should begin alongside education—not after it.
In its very first year, Station-S has seeded more startups than many universities do in a decade. Its portfolio already spans technology, creative design, food and beverage, hospitality, advanced manufacturing, business services and retail—making SIU a campus where ideas can become companies from day one.
Station-S brings together six critical capabilities in one place: talent, facilities, infrastructure, finance, markets and production. Founders have access to dedicated software centers, hardware labs, maker spaces, design studios, finance offices and recruitment support, configured around the needs of each venture. This creates a genuinely end-to-end startup environment, from refining an idea and building a team to raising capital and taking products to market.

Station-S works alongside Gnan Circle Ventures, the ecosystem’s venture capital partner, to facilitate funding for eligible startups. This creates a complete founder journey—from idea validation and company formation to capital raising and market expansion.
